Far Above Rubies - New Coloring Book and more!

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a great December so far! We have seen both the snow and felt the heat of the sun during a clear day. With Christmas approaching, I would like to share with you about my coloring books which I know will make for beautiful gifts!

Far Above Rubies - a Coloring Companion to a Personal Bible Study on Proverbs 31:10-31

To get it, click here!

This coloring book focuses on the passage from Proverbs 31:10-31 about the virtuous wife. You will find illustrations for each verse plus some additional portraits. Each page is left blank on the back so that if you choose to frame your colored-in piece, you can take the page out without sacrificing another image. Proverbs 31 is a wonderful passage written by Lemuel's mother to her son to seek what's precious in the God's sight - a woman who fears the Lord. As you color the pages and think on the verses, see not only the woman and her character, but her marriage, her family life, her work life, her servanthood, and importantly her faith which is in the center of everything she does.

Live Art for a Devotional meeting

I decided to return to my blog with a special post. We are having summer camps here in the Czech Republic, and my mother-in-law shared her testimony and an encouragement from the Bible last night to a group of our girl volunteers. Anxiety is something that a lot of us struggle with, and often it is hard to talk about it. It could be because we are embarrassed or uncomfortable to admit it, to share about it, and are worried about what people are going to think as to - why we actually struggle. I really appreciate talking openly about such things. So when my mother-in-law asked me if I could illustrate a specific Bible verse in a live-art session while she shares with the group, I was really excited and said yes. The meeting was very uplifting, and in the end, some of the girls started opening up to us. So I would like to share this illustration with you all as well. Feel free to print out and colour it in, or share with a friend. (However it is not meant for redistribution and if you ...

The Girl and her Cat - a Watercolor Illustration Series, and some valuable artist encouragement!

Hi everyone!  After my last post , I am happy to share with you this emerging series about a little girl and her pet cat. This has been so much fun! Even though there isn't a written story behind it, these are inspired by my own childhood that was truly filled with lots of fun adventures with pets. Making time to sit down and paint wasn't always that easy this week though.  With kids being done with sickness and going back to kindergarten, then getting sick again, and my husband's dad flying in from the US to spend several days with us, it has really been something. How has your week been? How much time were able to give to art? Did you post about it anywhere where I could see? Let me know! Why this series There were a couple reasons behind this series.  1. It's easy to paint because it's connected to fun memories. And this girl is the kind of a character that I happen to draw a lot, and even though she doesn't look completely like me when I was a ki...

Sunday Sketches - line art and some feelings involved

Hi and thanks for coming to see my Sunday sketches :) I really enjoy doing this and hope that you will enjoy what you can see in my blog and in this post. These came around actually very randomly. I am in nature a line lover and since I haven't done anything like this (and left it black and white) for quite a while, I decided to just go for it and enjoy the lines again. And I did. I loved drawing these! They are just some young ladies, one is a fairy, another is an angel, the third one a teenager, and the last one a lover. They are titled with the first thing that came to my mind and I think it fits well enough :) When you look at them, you may notice that I enjoy drawing figures in different postures, the faces, and hair... yes, i love to draw these :) I am still unsure if and where I am going to post these for sale. They are cards 5x7 and they will be available only as originals. If you'd be interested, just come back here in a couple of days and the answer (and the lin...
