Abstract art / Acrylics on canvas / Painting outside

Hi everyone! After visiting a really cool art supplies store and buying a bunch of canvases and acrylic paints, I got to business! As much as I usually do detailed portraits, I also always enjoy looking at others' abstract art. Well, all the inspiration stacked up and I had to put it out there! Also, since it was an exceptionally nice day at the end of September, I took the easel outside and painted in my mom's garden, in the warm sun. What an experience in itself ❤️🎨 Here is a video of the first one: Watch the painting of: Teal, Turquoise, White and Gold And some pictures of more. What do you think? I will be posting different videos of some of these and other art videos of mine on my Youtube channel. Also, big hello to Paint Party Friday !  Have a great day! :)  Kate

Painting EMMA STONE in my style - with Tombow Dual brush pens and with watercolors

Hi everyone! Someone on my channel mentioned that I should do a film star, and I thought that since I haven’t really done any celebrities in a long time - why not! I chose Emma Stone as the first one. I really enjoy her performance (and have yet to see her in the Cruella movie).  Although the person in the comments mentioned I should do it with charcoal, I realized I didn’t have any at home and so I reached for what I had and what I most enjoy. So it’s the stylized thick and thin lines, and vibrant watercolors. I hope you enjoy this. Please watch the video and if you like it, share it!  Thank you and have a great day! Kate

Fashion Portraits: Creating beautiful watercolor art combining detailed work with simplicity 🎨

Hi everyone! Today I'm going to share with you something that is near and dear to me. Something that is a big part of my life, yet something I haven't paid much attention to in over a decade. That is fashion illustration.  Watch:  Fashion Portrait n.1 in an upcoming series HOW I GOT TO FASHION ILLUSTRATION I studied fashion design and absolutely loved the amount of art that the 4 years of studies provided! I especially appreciate learning anatomy and how to draw portraits. That is something that has stayed with me. The whole fashion thing sort of fell off the table because I wasn't a good seamstress, and there weren't really any opportunities in my country for fashion designers, much less for fashion illustrators. So I kept art as my hobby, occasionally making some money doing custom portraits. I also ventured into other areas, such as digital and vector art, but always seemed to come back to the traditional hand rendering. There is just something special ab

Portraits of women: a beautiful coloring book for adults and girls of all ages ❤️

Hi everyone! I love drawing portraits! And it so happens that it’s one of those things I choose to draw just to relax, when I have a free moment, or after a long day. There hasn’t been much thought prior to drawing them, but as they started looking more like a collection, I decided they deserve their own publication and so I compiled them and turned them into a coloring book. Tadaa! Here it is! Artwork from random moments of 2018-2021.
